As we reflect on Palm Sunday and the beginning of the final week of Jesus' life, we return to the Upper Room once more. The meal, representing unity and love, had been eaten. The feet had been washed, representing in a small way the life-giving sacrifice Jesus was about to bless us with. One thing remained: to leave behind tokens of remembrance in the form of broken bread and the cup of the new covenant. The very next day, Jesus would be crucified. Yes, he lives again, but His death deserves our contemplation. How can we still honor Him today?
