It would be interesting to get a first-hand account from one of the disciples of exactly what was going through his mind as he sat down at the table for what we now call "The Last Supper." How much did he understand what was going on? How much did he understand what was about to happen to Jesus? Did he realize this would be his briefing for greater work? Do we understand the importance of our gathering at the Lord's table? Do we understand what we are being called into? Do we understand the role love plays in all of this? This is what we will begin to discuss today.
